ELOHIM MINISTRY STATEMENT OF FAITH
As children of God, we believe in the HOLY BIBLE, which is written by Holy men as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2peter 1:20-21). Therefore, the Holy Bible is the written word of God speaking the truth about Salvation to mankind, so that all men may be saved and make heaven at last. The holy Bible is God Almighty speaking to mankind- because God has intended and inspired every word of the scripture. He is the primary author of the Holy Bible through his word and by His Spirit- 2Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12 , Mathew 28:20, Romans 1:16-17, Mathew 7:24-27.
As children of God, God Almighty gave us the Holy Bible because he wanted his instinct and nature to become evident and obvious in us; He wanted us to know what He knows; He wanted us to see what He is looking at; He wanted us to feel what He feels; He wanted us to know his opinion about ourselves and others. And most importantly, He wanted us to know that, this world is not our home- we are just passing through it. He has prepared a better place for us known as Heaven above, and we all long to be there, as He wills.
As children of God, we strongly believe in HOLY TRINITY– God the Father, God the son and God the Holy spirit. These are wholly divine and worked together to create the Universe – Genesis 1:1-50; Mathew 28:19; Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Mathew 3:16-17.
As children of God, we strongly believe in GOD THE FATHER, who is complete and perfect in Holiness and unlimited in presence, love, patience, endurance, forgiveness, perseverance and unlimited in power to save mankind. His hands are open to embrace and rescue; His ears are open to hear and answer prayers and His eyes oversee the affairs of mankind here on earth- nothing is hidden from his sight. – Isaiah 59:1-2; Psalms 103:17; Hebrews 4:13; Genesis 3:4-14; Ephesians 1:1-6, John 16:23-28.
As children of God, we strongly believe in GOD THE SON, who is the greatest soul winner the world has ever Known. He came to this world in human form, though wholly divine in nature. He is the eternal Word of God that existed in human form. I mean, we believe that Jesus Christ and the Word of God are One. He was bruised, injured and dehumanized before he was brutally murdered, yet he responded with forgiveness, knowing that his death on the cross would eventually accomplish salvation for mankind.
After His resurrection, he ascended into Heaven, where He is presently sitting at the right hand of God the father interceding for us – 1John 2:1-2, Hebrews 12:2, Romans 1:2-4; Hebrews 7:24-25; Luke 24:1-12; John 1:1-5; Revelations 19:11-16, Acts 1:11; Colossians 1:15-20.
As children of God, we strongly believe in GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT, who is the spirit of truth the world cannot accept Him because He is from above. But by faith we children of God know Him and trust Him; for He lives with us and will continue to live in us, as promised to genuine Christians by our Lord and Savior-Jesus Christ before his ascension into Heaven after His resurrection in power and glory. We believe that, the Holy Spirit guides and strikes the conscience of men and women to see how wrong their sins are, and shows them the obvious reason to seek for God’s forgiveness and deliverance from the consequences of their sins. The Holy Spirit equally helps man to read the word of God with Devotion- I mean, to read the word of God slowly, attentively and repeatedly, thereby making the written word of God part of their inner-most being, as they constantly meditate on what they have read. And by so doing, the life of God becomes an integral part of their being. And consequently, the Holy Spirit changes them to become like unto God – Ephesians 1:13-14; Mathew 28:19; Ephesians 3:16; John 14:16-17; 1Corithians 3:16; Acts 1:18; John 16:8.
As children of God, we strongly believe that God Almighty created mankind (male and female) in His own image and likeness as perfect beings at the beginning. But unfortunate mankind disobeyed God Almighty through sin (Satan himself) and consequently fell from perfection and the grace of God. Thereafter, man became imperfect and mortal. Therefore, mankind became dead spiritually, and in need of God’s divine intervention through forgiveness of sins and grace – Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-16; Genesis 1:26-31; Romans 6:23; Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:19.
As children of God, we strongly believe that, SALVATION OF SOULS comes by faith, through the finished works of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Salvation is to be delivered from the power of sin and its consequences by faith in the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ. For mankind to be saved, they have to denounce their sins, come to repentance and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior. Otherwise, the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary will not save Them – John 14:6; Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 2:36-41 John 3;16-17.
As children of God, we strongly believe that CHURCH is the body of Christ of which Christ Jesus is the head. And as mankind acknowledge their sins, confess them and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior, they become members of the body of Christ (the church) by faith. It is important to know that, our membership in our local Churches is merely symbolic- what counts is Christ in us – the hope of glory – 1Corithians 12:12-13; Ephesians 3:11; Acts 2:41-47; Acts 15:13-18.
We as children of God, our duty as genuine Christians is to live a Godly life because, our life-style, conducts or character reveals to unbelievers how much Jesus Christ we have in us. Christ Jesus in us is genuine love, genuine patience, genuine humility, genuine sincerity, genuine endurance, genuine perseverance, genuine forgiveness, etc. knowing that, the religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this; absolute obedience to God’s commandments, as written in Exodus 20:1-26. And secondly, looking after the orphans, widows, widowers and the less privileged in their distresses in the society, and to keep ourselves from being polluted by this sinful world – James 1:27; 1Peter 1:14-15; Romans 6:12-14; Ephesians 4:1-3; lCorithians 3:16; Colossians 1:28; lCorithians 10:31.
As children of God, we strongly believe that, our souls are very important to God Almighty- our creator because, our souls are created for eternity. We believe in transfiguration and rapture. We believe that, when Jesus Christ comes take His children to their permanent home above, there will be resurrection from the dead, and the upright before God shall enjoy internal life in Christ Jesus – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 5:24-29; Revelations 21:1-5; 2Corithians 5:6-10; lCorithians 15:51-58.
As children of God, we strongly believe in ANOINTING, which is the coming of the HOLY SPIRIT into a person, upon repentance and baptism. No man can head the church here on earth, and do as Christ would have done, if He were here on earth in human form, without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. When the anointing of the Holy Spirit rests upon us, it teaches us the deepest things of God- which is Holy divine and human hands cannot be employed to accomplish them – Acts 1:8; lJohn 2:27; Matthew 28:16-18; 1Corinthians 11:23-25.
As children of God, we strongly believe in MARRIAGE, which is a divine institution ordained by God Almighty for companionship, friendship, procreation and communion with Him. In other words, marriage is a divine union that is approved by God Almighty, to exist between one man and one woman- as both shall come together to become one body in Christ Jesus- the kind of divine union that existed between Isaac and Rebecca of old. And according to Gods instruction in the Holy Bible concerning the Holy matrimony, the products (children) of such divine union must be trained in the way of the Lord, so that when they become old, they would not depart from it – Genesis 24:16; Genesis 2:18-25; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 5:21; Hebrews 13:14; Ephesians 6:14; lPeter 3:1-7; Proverbs 22:6.
We as children of God, we strongly believe in DIVINE HEALING because that is what Jesus Christ came for, lived for, worked for, suffered for, died for and resurrected in power and glory for. Therefore, divine healing is the supernatural power of God, bringing health to the sick flesh, through the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ- which He shed on the cross of Calvary. By His wounds we are healed. Divine healing is part of the benefits of the death and resurrection power of our Lord and Savior- Jesus Christ – Isaiah 53:5; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; lPeter 1:18-19.
As children of God, we strongly believe in both WATER BAPTISM AND HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM. Water baptism is ministered by human hands upon the person’s decision to follow Jesus Christ, as their-personal Lord and savior. While the Holy Spirit baptism is wholly divine and human hands cannot be employed to minister it. We believe that all who become part of the body of Christ do so because they are baptized in the holy spirit. When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, we become like unto God in our character and conducts; because God’s power will come upon us, as it did with the disciples of old at Pentecost.
We also believe in SPEAKING IN TONGUES as we are inspired by the Holy Spirit to do so- not taught by man but by the Holy Spirit – John 7:37-38; lCorithians 12:10; Acts 2:4; Romans 6:1-4; Acts 9:17-19; Mathew 28:18-20.
As children of God, we strongly believe in the LORD’S SUPPER- the ministration of the HOLY COMMUNION, as divinely instructed by our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ, that the holy communion should be observed in His assembly, in remembrance of Him until we are glorified at last- until He returns to take us home, where we shall have eternal rest with Him.
We are convinced by the Holy Spirit, that the BREAD represents the BODY OF JESUS CHRIST which He gave as sacrifice; while the WINE represents the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, which He shed on the cross of Calvary to redeem us – Luke 22:7-20, Mathew 28:26-28; 2Peter 1:4; 1Corinthians 2:10; Mark 14:22-26; 1Corithians 11:26-31; Acts 1:11; lThessalians 4:16-17.
